General Commentary and Game Overview
Every level is basically a world filled with various level-rooms that are connected to each other with various paths so that some rooms can be missed first time playing through a level.

This adds some replay value along with some well-built secret-room designs.

However lacks anything outstanding outside these features.

Pros Polished combo weapon system is fun.
Bosses are easy and decent.
Levels have various paths.
Starman is activated by cherries.
Secret rooms with decent bonuses.

Cons Need more weapons and items types.
Bosses need more diverse fights.
Levels could use some more gimmicks.
Enemy roster is small.
Could use more big levels than just '8'.

Impressions
Gameplay
8 / 10
Alternative paths make levels incredibly diverse with disconnected rooms and unknown secret corners just waiting to be explored. Boss fights are basic yet fun.

Graphics
8 / 10
Custom sprites and airbrushed backgrounds are refreshing, well-built, and color-suitable. Could use something more spectacular however.

Sound
8 / 10
Music choices get the job done well. Nothing over the top and nothing sub-par. Boss track is fun and most themes are catchy. Could use more variety.

Replay
8 / 10
Other better fan games forget the incredibly basic and fun design of alternative paths that is one of this game's best attributes yet lacks anything outside the platforming genre.

Final Words
8 / 10
One of the best 'keep it simple' Mario fan games ever made.
