SMW NES small Mario sprites in SMB3 style By: SMBXfan [W]
This is a really simple sprite sheet of the SMW NES sprites with a style similar to Super Mario Bros 3's style. I used the palette from Super Mario All-Stars and edited the sprites to give that SMB3 feel without having to resort to the overused SMB3 SNES sprites.

Really great idea! The only thing bugging me is the positioning of the buttons on some of the poses, but otherwise it's very nice!

@EvilYoshiToes Yeah, this is my very first sprite sheet, it's not really perfect (in fact, nothing is perfect).

When I first saw this. What came to mind immediately was the small Mario in that DOS game.

Hm...
A lot of the sprites look weird...
For example, Mario never has the little red square in between his buttons to indicate that he's wearing overalls in the sprites.
His ears also become oversized in my opinion on some of the sprites. The buttons like EvilYoshiToes said are also kinda in the weird position, and, he looks a little too fat. His head also becomes oversized when he looks up like he did in Super Mario World, and his shoes also look a bit oversized in some of the poses.
A pretty major thing in my opinion is also that in some of his swimming poses, especially the one where his arms are out and his feet aren't moving, the sleeves are just completely black and aren't red at all.
He's also missing his sideburns in some of the sprites.
When he looks at the screen or looks away from the screen, it isn't symmetrical.
It seems like there's some unnecessary outlining around all the sprites...
Also, his hands look a bit odd in some of the sprites, especially the standing pose.
Lastly, he doesn't have an M on his hat. Who is this, Super Plumber? :)
Still a pretty nice sheet though? I just think that if could use a lot of cleanup and edits but I like what you were going for.
EDIT: Just read that. I didn't mean to sound so harsh.

Blame the bootleggers! Not him!

I'm pretty sure these are his edits, not rips from a bootleg... xD

These are placed under the "Edited" category, so I presume they are rips.

@AsteriskX @The Yak Smoker
Note that this is my very, very first edited sprite sheet, and it is not very good, (the skidding pose is the Mario World SNES one edited to fit the style, and it looks awful).

"EDIT: Just read that. I didn't mean to sound so harsh."

It's OK, it is fine, I would try to take feedback (even if it sounds a tad harsh). Besides, this sheet is not too good since it is my first one.

"Blame the bootleggers! Not him!"
I think it is both my fault and the bootleggers' fault.
Question answered short.

Yeah actually, I haven't thought of that whole thing. If it's already based on the bootleg sprites, than I could understand that more.
If you look at my first and only sprite sheet I made, at the time it seemed like it took a surprisingly long amount of time to make but now I'm looking at it like it didn't take to much effort at all.
Looking at this, this actually is pretty good, especially for a first sprite sheet.

They're edits from a bootleg.
