General Commentary and Game Overview
Beep. Bop.
Hey! Long time no see! I haven't been to the main site in quite a while.(missed me) Nevertheless, I'm back to review quite the game. This game....is Mario Helmet Deluxe. It's the sequel, because there was a first one apparently? Anyway, the gameplay is simple, and it's quite authentic in terms of recreation to the original Game&Watch games. I've never owned one of those things, but from googling the originals, it seems surprisingly identical. What's it about then, huh? Run across falling tools. Try to get to the other side to score points. That's it. The downside to this is, however, is that there's not really a purpose to this game. Many a dozen have already accomplished this same task, so I don't see a reason for this game. Further more, it really doesn't add anything, either, unfortunately. I think the best part of this game is the authentication and nothing more. The graphics look like G&W, but nothing more. The gameplay is exactly like the G&W games, but it adds absolutely nothing more at all. And that's the problem I have with the existence of it. Releasing a really old game in 2015 won't have the same effect it had when it was released originally. In that time, it was never seen before, but you can't really get away with that nowadays unless it's a remaster, and in this specific case, it isn't.
