If the Moon is SMB1 style, it should probably not have eyes to be more in line with the style of that line of power ups.

I agree, and SMB didn't have distinguishable outlines from what I remember. Other that that, looks nice!

Well, I have taken the Star from NES SMB1 as a reference, which had both a colored but distinguishable outline and eyes.
However, it does lack a mouth in the 8-bit version, because I assumed that due to NES hardware limitarions, the top half would be mirrored for the bottom half.
Also, since nobody talked about the 16-bit version of the SMB1 Moon, then I guess there are no objections for that after all.

I quoted the original post, and he edited his post in order to avoid responsibility.

But now that he said "please":
Sorry, delux, but you need to do that yourself, especially since it's very easy to do it yourself.
Heck, there are even programs that crop sprites for you so you can make them SMBX compatible.

SMBX uses 2x2 pixels. Use paint.net. SMBX had also masks. It also replace SMW 3up Moon. Also, GFX uses .gifs.

Also, 3up moon reappears in NSMBU. SMM also reuse the model for NSMBU style.

lol no. If you know how to do it, then you can do it yourself. Especially with such a demanding tone.
Also, every next off-topic post like the SMBX ones will be reported from now on for being off-topic.

The "SMB3" moon you have there was not made by Hello, but was made by Black Squirrel in 2007.

In all fairness, Hello did use Black Squirrel tiles for a very long time. It would be a very easy mistake to assume Hello made that 3-up Moon (though, afaik, he does not have any graphics made by himself in Hello Engine aside from the logo).

Why should I? I can do with my thumbnail whatever I want, as long as it indeed shows the content of the actual file and doesn't break the rules.
And the thumbnail follows both of those criterias.
Seriously, talk about the content and only about the content. That's the last warning!

a lot of this is blatantly wrong. SMB1's starman doesn't have any outline no matter how you look at it; in fact no objects have outlines. the only things to feature outlines are tiles like pipes and bushes.

also, every item in the game has its own full 16x16 space, so i would assume this would be no different. no reason to not give it a mouth other than for actual stylistic reasons.

Hey, no need to call names!
Okay, I doublechecked again, and whoops, looks like I mixed up some things. Removed the outlines.
However, I have absolutely zero idea how to update a submission, and nobody wants to tell me.

And regarding every item in the original game having its own 16x16 space: I know that, but I assumed that with so much stuff being included, Nintendo would eventually run out of CHR pages, so they would need to do some space management, including the flipping of tiles, like with this moon here. So yeah, it will stay with no mouth.

Mit never called any names. Anyways, you can update submissions by looking at My Submissions, click on the name of your submission, and then editing some details. It does have to go through QC again, btw.

In other news, I'm not sure I really like the first moon. Its shape seems more reminiscent of Pac-Man than a crescent moon.

There's a difference between your more than legitimate request for him to stop commenting about his suggestions and asking him to completely stop commenting in this resource all-together (or in a different interpretation taking your previous comments' implications into account, MFGG altogether). He has a right to post so long as it contributes; that's the fundamental ideal that the concept of comments revolves around.

WHERE THE HECK IS QUALITY CONTROL!?!?!?!

Quality Control is tasked with reviewing submitted content in the queue, not moderating comments. That is handled by site admins and comment moderators (including Zero Kirby, who strangely isn't on the list of staff). Unfortunately, it seems VinnyVideo winds up doing much of the moderating, and he's a rather busy fellow.

Of course it's entirely possible that staff members have decided the dispute here hasn't progressed to where it needs to be interrupted.

Your requests make absolutely zero sense, and I get a strong impression that you would never have a use for any of them. Your constant inane requests disrupt the comments and barely accomplish anything else, if at all.

Though I must say, you really don't have the right to tell him to stop posting entirely. It also amuses me that you seem to be implying a threat of punishment despite having only the standard user privileges on the mainsite. What are you going to do, report him? Wait, you already did that. Start a flame war? I'm sure that will go over well with the staff.

Not sure whenever to change it or not, though.

I gave you the benefit of the doubt before, but now I'm starting to suspect trouble.

You are not on the list of staff, you don't have a special member group on your profile, and your username is not orange.

You are not a comment moderator, neither do you have the powers associated with one. Everyone can report a comment, which notifies the actual site staff of said comment. Being able to do so does not make you able to mute, ban, or remove said comments.

I recommend that you drop this pretense, lest you continue to make a fool out of yourself.
