Played, reviewed, and all I can say is you got a long way to go. But keep trying, and who knows; you could be an excellent game designer someday :)

Just like you said, it is crazy but in a good way. Here are some ideas to make it better. 1. You could make it so it will start out easy but get harder after a while 2. You could add a star to have latiku drop. 3. You could have latiku only drop flowers when mario has a mushroom and not drop mushrooms when he already has one. 4. You could make a title screen so you won't have to open the file all over again when you lose.

I did a game like this, but consist on an arena, and the things fall from the sky. But I added: Blue shrooms that deletes all Poison shrooms on the screen. Red flowers that if you touch these, it will add some alarms to generate quick fireballs falling from the sky to help you on the massacre. Yellow shrooms that if you touch them, you will be on invincible event for a limited time. Your game will be better if you add these.
