General Commentary and Game Overview
I didn't quite expect much when downloading this game, as I knew this couldn't be very close to the original. But I was wrong - this game has quite something to offer.

Pros + Solid Engine
+ Mega and Mini Mushroom
+ Graphics
+ Music
+ Sound
+ Interface

Cons - No acceleration or deceleration
- Using GM's standard help
- It's just a demo

Impressions
Gameplay
7 / 10
To be honest, I was expecting the engine to be horrible. But when I saw the menu and how nicely it was designed I knew I was wrong. The engine isn't a masterpiece, but it's solid and it works well. In addition to that it's the first time I saw the Mega Mushroom and Mini Mushroom in a fangame, and they worked really well. The engine is pretty cool. However, I miss that there's no acceleration or deceleration. It'd make the game shine even more. Level Design was quite okay. It wasn't really good, but not bad either. All in all, seven points should do.

Graphics
7 / 10
The graphics are all ripped from New Super Mario Bros. DS. They felt more refreshing than SMAS Graphics, and considering this game is NSMB-themed I guess that's alright. Mario's death pose is completely out of style, though.

Sound
7 / 10
Music is from New Super Mario Bros. too. However, the theme for the Giant Mushroom is changed for some reason. Probably because the creator couldn't find the theme lying around somewhere. I didn't listen carefully enough to the sounds to say where they're from, but they sounded nicely and that's all that matters.

Replay
2 / 10
It's a beta. Not really much replay value. The full game could offer quite some replay value, though.

Final Words
7 / 10
Great beta. Looking forward to more.
