General Commentary and Game Overview
Mario's Macross looks like it could have been a good mix of Super Mario Bros, but what I've played was something only Chuck Norris could beat. The first level was extremely hard. It was covered with enemies everywhere. Sure, you can make Mario turn into some weird airplane that shoots good firepower, but it doesn't seem to help much, since enemies pop up out of nowhere. The game is so hard I couldn't even pass the first level. If you are looking for a challenge, this game really fits your bill.

Gameplay
5 / 10
As I already said, the gameplay would have been great if it wasn't for the idiotic idea to put in enemies everywhere and out of nowhere. Want a hard game? Here you go. Want a super hard one? Here you go. This is just nonsense.

Graphics
8 / 10
The graphics are greatly ripped from the classic Super Mario Bros. NES game. When Mario turns into an airplane, it easily reminds me of Transformers, not that I'm a fan of the show or anything. It's nostalgia.

Sound
7 / 10
The sound is basically just the music. The music is cool and all, but maybe there might be some more sound effects. At least you are able to enjoy the music (sort of). The sound effect issue can sometimes be a problem, though.

Replay
3 / 10
The replay value is very low. Mainly because of how hard the game can be. Let's see you pass the first level of the game. That seems to be a real accomplishment. There's other good games to enjoy, leaving this one pointless.

Final Words
5 / 10
Why's this 5/10, you ask? Well, read this review.
