It crashed.
oh well that's life.

Did it crash when starting up or some time during gameplay? If it was when starting up, I might need to edit it, upload a version without the SWF intro. It worked back then and it worked on my PC but maybe I need to ditch it if it causes issues in this day and age...

I'm working on an animated mega mario! I had to wait until it was finished, though.
how do I make a page of the Gif (with a link) like someguy?

Just upload it to, say, imageshack or photobucket, the tiny url thing was just using a site called, well, Tiny URL, which makes longer URLs shorter, because the url was so long it got cut off.

edit: d'oh, wrong account

The game has a startling thing in the beginning but because I don't want to be mean to people like you I won't put any Banzai Bills, especially not that ugly SMW one that you hate.

If anyone else is reading this, Thingio Side B is being rebuilt, all the things that people disliked I'm thinking about, the quality will be better, there won't be startling waaauh whooelblehs, and so on.

Our engine.

And Jellyfish is certainly not pop. It's classic rock/classic alternative. Moog synth and swing drumbeats are not used in pop. I'm sorry we could not appease the critics and include Nickelback or Hinder in this game's score.

Why yes, the game directly states it's name even.

Go up to the edge and jump out and you'll hop over it.

The man who does Yoshi's voice clips is Kazumi Totaka, who was also the music composer for Yoshi's Story, among other games. If I remember correctly he also did E-Gadd's quibbles in Luigi's Mansion, which he also did music for along with famed Nintendo composer Koji Kondo. I do not know of Shigeru Miyamoto doing any voice work, but I do hear he played one of the insturments in The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker's intro scene, and made the music for the arcade Donkey Kong, but enough from me, I'm going a bit far from commentary.

You get out on the edges, hold against them and jump at them.

Diddy Kong in sprites like Double Dash karts are probably why he's there.

Didn't the SM64 rendered Pokey have lighting that way too? If you want to stop people's complaints, though, all they are complaining about is the light of the shading coming from the center, rather then the top left or right as is common in games, though I've seen some professional games with "Pillow Shading" that looked good!

He STOLE the NSMB sprites(He dont give credit to the spriters and MarioBegins ETC.)

FOR YOUR INFORMATION the sprites were taken from the New SMB flash site by me before I ever found any other people had ripped them. I found this easiest too, as I could simply import the files from the site at the same size and have it animate much better.

The password is for a game in the future, probably whatever we send out after Thingio Side B, when we think of something cool enough for it to be used for.

He said "You stole the top row from TSR. You just got rid of the black frames around it."

Rather easy as said, but SMA4 poses in SMB3 format look pretty schnazzy as well as Luigi himself.

I can't believe I never thought of this! He has the program run the loop 'col' every frame. 'col' is set to give each enemy object a different number, then it runs the loop as many times as there are of that enemy, ending it by adding one to a counter. That basically makes it so it repeats the event for each one, rather then trying to do all of them in one event and causing it to mess up....

They were actually ripped from screenshots, as they have a bit of JPEGing on them. Of course, only a little bit of NSMB graphics were put into the NSMB site so until someone can somehow take graphics from the DS without an expensive machine or someone can emulate NSMB, this is the best we get. We get quite good however. =D

For anyone who may read this, the game that will use a form of this engine will fix most if not all the complaints. The ledge hop has been ditched, and thus the odd get out of water system. The game will likely use either midi or module music, and will not use songs such as the one in the first level here. :P It will of course be a full game, rather then the short demo here, which we thought was short and strange enough to be more of a scrapped project then a full game.
