General Commentary and Game Overview
I'm familiar with the work of Thunder Dragon. I played Psycho Waluigi, which I could easily dub a masterpiece of fangaming. I had high hopes for Toadette Strikes, and I was not disappointed.
This game is fun, fun, fun, fun, FUN. There's no better way to describe it, it's just FUN. The controls work well, the level designs keep getting more and more diverse and interesting, the ideas are many and everywhere, YOSHI, the story is slightly better than the tired old "save the princess" nonsense... it's just so refreshingly simple and fun. I love this game, I love Toadette, and I urge anyone who hasn't picked this game up to do so. Right now.

Pros WHERE DO I START.
-The concept is original, yet not too far off the Mario track: you play as Toadette who is tasked with saving the Toad race in a world where Mario and Luigi are but urban legend.
-Yoshi. What, you want me to explain?
-The power-up system is simple, yet very well executed. BOOM! BOOM! FIREWORK BALLS GO DIE F***ING BRICKS! YEAH!
-You can aim your hammer, fireball and Yoshi attacks, which is much more important than it sounds.
-The control is some of the smoothest and most fluid I've played in an MFGG game.
-Yoshi.

Cons -Maybe the control is a little... TOO fluid? And by that I mean the tiniest bit slippery.
-I woulda kinda liked to see Toadette in powered-up form...
-All you get of the Marios, Peach or Bowser is vague references... which doesn't sound like it should be a problem given the setup, but still... ya'd think Mario would have a bloody statue somewhere! Something! You know, only the guy who saved the entire universe THREE. F***ING. TIMES.

-Obviously, I am nitpicking here. There's almost nothing really bad to say about this game.

Gameplay

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
MARIO 2 WITH POWER-UPS AND YOSHI AND STOMPING YES PLEASE!!
Classic Super Mario Bros. awesomeness, with its own unique little twist: there are only two weapons: Fire Flowers and Hammers. However, collecting another weapon when you are already equipped with one makes it a SUPER WEAPON! Hurl exploding firework balls that bust through bricks! Swing your flaming hammer and cause mini earthquakes!
....YOSSHHIIIII!!!

Graphics
9 / 10
The sprites and backdrops are just beautiful. He really made the most of the SNES style in his custom graphics, and it just looks amazing. Except for that one mountain backdrop...

Sound
9 / 10
Super Mario World sound effects should be tired out by now, but I can't really see any other sounds fitting here. The music appears to all be original works (Except maybe the Space Junk Galaxy theme. Which may or may not have made we weep with joy the first time I dove underwater), and it sounds fantastic.
Also, I'm pretty sure all the tracks were made with the Wario Ware: DIY Super MakerMatic.
...I have no problem with this. <3

Aw... you got me with the old "Collect All the Secret Coins" trick.
You dirty bastard.
Gets me every time.
I'll be playing this game 'til I'm 30.

Final Words
10 / 10
I love this game, I love Toadette, I love Thunder Dragon's creative talent. Play this game. Now. Get it. Do it. Right now. I'm watching you hover over that Download button; you're only hurting yourself if you don't play this game.
