Luigi's Mansion 2D Demo V1.1 (Updated)

This is the second Demo for my Project LM2D.

The controls are:
-left and right arrow keys to move.
-Up and down to air respectedly.
-Z to jump.
-C to toggle flashlight.
-X to vacuum.
-Space to shoot air/element out of the vaccum.
-Enter To toggle Mapscreen
-When the ghosts pull you, you tug in the opposite direction.
-Fire and Ice Are the only elements to harm the Ghosts right now

Debug Controls:
-1 Resets Elemental Gauge and sets Element to Fire.
-2 Resets Elemental Gauge and Sets Element to Water.
-3 Resets Elemental Gauge and sets Element to Ice.
-4 Resets Elemental Gauge and sets Element to Earth.
-5 Resets Elemental Gauge and sets Element to Thunder.*
-6 Resets Elemental Gauge and sets Element to Dark.*

*Disclaimer: Thunder and Dark Elements are not in the demo.

This game is so fun to play. Luigi Mansion 2D bring me back to the orginal Luigi Mansion in Gamecube :)

Dang... I was planning to make this game with game maker but I've truly been beaten to the production of this game.
Is there any way for me to aid you? If not I still plan to make my version.
Overall this is a master piece in the making.

Well your supposed to pull in the other direction when the ghost pulls you, and you only get hurt if they hit you, you get dragged, or you touch spikes.

That's because you're getting dragged across the floor. Try to avoid getting dragged by ghosts.

The combat take a bit of learning, make sure you're holding down the vacuum key and the opposite direction when fighting. When a ghost tries to tug you quickly tap the arrow key to keep pulling or you'll lose HP. Also you can grab multiple ghosts at once but it's harder to keep control.

I submitted a review, but now I found a glitch. when you go down the first warp pipe and you travel to the green pipe that takes you up, if your holding C (that's what I was holding) and you run back and forth then into the left wall, you fall into the ground beneath and get stuck. also, I'm not sure if this is intended or not, but if you press space the music stops. oh, and also, when you hold the suction button and right, after the ghost is sucked up, the music still plays, until you release the X button, and I just found another, if you suck up a ghost while opening a door, the door will open, but you will fly back a bit due to the fact that Luigi does this when he sucks one up, this isn't game changing however

No I'm not. I posted that before I actually got good at catching ghosts, though. And in the full game, please add saving.

There's a glitch. After I sucked up the Purple Puncher in the second room, I could keep capturing it. Also, I kept losing life after I kept capturing it.

I'm working on it for some reason if you have the flashlight on while vaccuming it will do that with any ghost.

i have a ghost idea
it can be a blue slime-like ghost that drops from
the ceiling to the ground if luigi gets below it,and it can "throw" slime balls to hurt luigi and make him sluggish for a brief time.
it can have around 10-30 HP[your choice]
it also can have a white type with higher ATK and
HP

That might work, and I'll give it 15 health. and 30 health for the white one. This will fit in Area 3(Underground) easily.
If you aren't a member of the forums, I'd suggest that you become one, to see the progress of this game and to submit your ideas so others can see it there too.

Not sure if this has been said but, in the final version, will the flashlight always turn off when you use the vacuum? Right now it's rather bothersome.

Well, when you constantly have ghosts popping up, it takes away precious seconds that you can't afford to waste. It also makes it harder to control. I mean, without having to worry about it, you only have to focus on 2 main keys, sucking and jumping (and of course the arrow keys). With it however you have a 3rd key that is a bit awkwardly positioned when you are trying to keep you hand over the other two keys. Over all it just feels wrong to constantly have to stop and hit the key to turn it back on every single time, and it will show later on in areas with lots of ghosts.

Short version- It's annoying and it causes more issues than there should be, especially when fighting multiple ghosts.
