General Commentary and Game Overview
Paper Mario is a top-down adventure style game. Its actually an edit of a TwinImage engine, and the style of gameplay is strange.

Pros - Some things added to engine
- Multiple chapters

Cons - Easy
- Graphics are unrefined
- Combat system is weird

Impressions
Gameplay
5 / 10
This game really should be an RPG. Instead, this game is a top down style game, where you just simply jump on enemies. There is a level up system in place, but its all to easy to just walk by enemies, and that won't affect the difficulty at all, since all bosses are defeated the same way (spin attack). You can walk around and talk to people, but the game itself is very linear, with no sidequests or anything. The whole gameplay of this game should be changed.

Graphics
4 / 10
The graphics are mostly from the N64 Paper Mario. The graphics are isometric styled, which is wrong for a Paper Mario game. Some of the graphics are just terrible (one wall you have to destroy is simply a black box).

Sound
6 / 10
All of the sounds are also from Paper Mario, and they are all used in the places they are used in the real game. Nothing really extraordinary here.

Replay
4 / 10
There are many chapters to this game, but the gameplay itself isn't worth going through again.

Final Words
5 / 10
This game really should be an RPG.

The graphics look WAY better in windowed mode (instead of fullscreen), so I'm probably going to make that the default in the final version. Also, the game isn't supposed to be an RPG, which is why there aren't any side quest and stuff like that. The view is supposed to try to make a 3d effect, like in the real Paper Mario games, but it's kinda hard to do that with tiles. All the bosses aren't fought in the same way in the new version. The bosses use a counter attack (like the first two in this version) to make the battles more than just tapping a button.
Anyways, thanks for the review.
