General Commentary and Game Overview
Super Mario: Hard Game is a supposedly "hard" game by mariofangames. Of course, its actually...not...hard...dude, you ever played Kaizo Mario World? That's hard. This isn't.

Oh, and it's made with Hello's godawful SMB1 engine.

Pros +Well, mariofangames changed the sprites...
+It kind of gave me a laugh
+It shows how to NOT make a fangame even more than Paper Mario World

Cons -...but they're the same overused crud we've been using over the years
-Super Mario: Hard Game is just enemy spam in the sample level, which also leads to lag
-It's actually very easy
-Made with Hello's cruddy SMB1 engine!
-No effort was put into this game
-Did I say it's not even hard?
-Yeah?
-Oh, ok.
-I guess the idea of using Hello's SMB1 engine was terrible, too.
-THERE ARE OTHER HARD GAMES ON MFGG.
-God, why am I still talking in the cons section? Let's stop poking around!
-LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL
-Ok, I'll stop...

Do I REALLY need to explain this? *sigh*

Yeah? OK, then...

You play the game. There's no title screen, you hop into the game immediately. Then you realize the regretful life choices, and many questions, too.

Why put enemy spam and pass it off as a hard game?

Why was no effort put into this game?

Why are tiles lazily spread around?

Why is this game so easy?

Why does this even exist?

Well, as you could already tell by the control, it's made with Hello's godawful SMB1 engine. We better be glad not many people is using it anymore.

Now for controls...AGH!
Mario goes at Sonic speed, as usual, it's super slippery, all the typical Hello engine crud.

Then, there's the enemy spam. Mariofangames REALLY thought that spamming enemies everywhere would make this piece of crud hard. Goombas, large Goombas, Koopas, large Koopas, Buzzy Beetles, Spinys, and a lot more. Oh, you thought this game was easy, huh? Well, it instantly starts you as Fire Mario! So just cruise through the level while spamming CTRL...so very, extremely hard.

So, the level design. There's barely any. Why? Why, it's just a edit of the sample level with enemy spam, lazily spread tiles, and zero effort. And when you complete it, you start over. Did I say making this game costed zero effort?

Bad.

Graphics
2 / 10
I'm only giving this a 2 because mariofangames decided to change the look of the game.

You know how Hello's SMB1 engine uses SMAS SMB1 sprites?

Well, this game uses SMAS SMB3 sprites! Oh, and some Black Squirrel tiles.

Bad.

Sound
1 / 10
Generic SMAS SMB1 music and generic Mario sound effects.

This doesn't really need too much explanation, does it?

Bad.

Why would you do that?

Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why?

It's a boring, easy one-level romp with enemy spam! Where's my -1/10?

Final Words
1 / 10
This game shows you how to NOT make a fangame even more than Paper Mario World.

This is even worse than Super Mario Bros. Super Quest. I'm not even kidding! At least SMB:SQ and PMW have SOME SORT of effort put into it.

This game?

No.
Effort.
At.
All.

Stay away from this. You can thank me later.
