General Commentary and Game Overview

Ah, yes. superdimentiobros' Abducted Toad. A great game, with amazing physics, but several cons as well. Toad has been abducted by aliens and is asked to defeat this game's main villain, King Purplius. It's your typical Mario platformer, but with a twist! Toad can now summon a shield of electricity, using the powers of his new, err, Mushroom Cap friend that looks SLIGHTLY like a Shroob.

Pros	-Amazing physics -Nice concept -No Typical "Rescue the Princess" Mario styled platformer, more like Mega Man. -Fitting Graphics
Cons	-Extremely Hard levels

Impressions

Gameplay 8 / 10	For the gameplay, I found that Toad's Force Field made the jumping on enemies too overrated, making people mash the shield command over and over again. I think there should be a guage on how many times you can use the shield. The levels were also slightly harder than most other games, besides the tutorial level. Gameplay deserves an 8.
Graphics 9 / 10	Lemme say one thing. The graphics were very good, not clashing, but a bit dull. You might want to add some more color to the force field, since it looks very bland.
Sound 7 / 10	Sound gives us typical mario sounds; Jumping, Stomping, Dying, 1up, along with new sounds, like Force Field. It's the force field sound that gives a 7, since it sounded a bit fuzzy.
Replay 6 / 10	There is not much replay value besides the discs, but even those don't grant anything yet. Of course, the challenge of each level makes it great for gamers who like to speedrun.

Final Words

Abucted Toad is a Great Game, don't get me wrong, but fixing up a few errors would make this a AWSOME game. Good job, SDB!

Quote I think there should be a guage on how many times you can use the shield. Just going to say that I am NOT going to do this. It would be extremely annoying to have to wait for it to recharge to do things like breaking blocks, firing cannons, etc. Quote but several cons as well. What are you talking about, you only gave one con.
