General Commentary and Game Overview

An excellent game, to say the least. While it is an effects test, it is in no way only an effects test. It is rather difficult, but nobody likes an easy game, right?

Pros	Excellent effects, awesome music, yet the gameplay is unchanged, which is rather a feat
Cons	The effects are awesome, which isn't a problem in itself, but in contrast to the sprites, which are 8-bit, it doesn't seem right.

Impressions

Gameplay 10 / 10	The gameplay was fast-paced, and it was still fun after the fifth try. The battle is still like the battle from the original game, yet it was considerably more enjoyable.
Graphics 8 / 10	Great. Effects were awesome. Sprites were 8-bit but it was supposed to be an enhanced version of SMB3's final boss, so they would be. When bowser's about to breathe fire, he becomes engulfed in flames. You can also see the castle crumbling in the background.
Sound 7 / 10	While you will hear some 8-bit sounds in there, most of the sounds are very high quality. The remixes of the original music are in no way worse than the original, and do them a great deal of justice.
Replay 9 / 10	Played it about 5 times. If you liked the classic boss battle, there's nothing much else to put here.

Final Words

An excellent game, definitely worth playing if you like the classic mario games.
