Ludwig vs. the Goombas Revision2

Revision of the game, fixed everything, added some new things including a new control. Press and hold DOWN to defend for a short amount of time.

---- About the game:
Ah, Ludwig, someone we don't notice enough. This is his story.

Goombas are seemingly harmless and not too smart, right? Wrong. Ludwig discovered that clans of goombas formed behind Bowser's back. Now he finally has a reason to stomp them all away, but he also knows that they're not going down without a fight. Even new types of goombas were discovered among the clans. Ultimately, Ludwig wants to prevent a rebellion while stomping out his revenge.

There are more than 20 levels, 4 bosses, a final boss, 2 sibling battles -- and Ludwig's story.

This game does some things well - interesting boss concepts, for example. Unfortunately, the good ideas are overshadowed by the horrible collision detection and the abundance of unavoidable obstacles. There's also some graphics clashing and unattractive resized sprites.

Good game, good music and all. Aside from some glitches its a good game. I've guessed that the final boss would be "him" after all your hints :) Also, can you say what music did you used for goomba leaders, its so awesome!

I agree. But it was my first try at Game maker and man it was a pain. I based if off an engine that had absolutely nothing, because I wanted to learn code. I did, but now I'm improving at the moment. You'll see in the demo I'm about to submit called: You Don't Know Luigi.

Thanks. Also, the music I did for the first three goomba leaders was: Suikoden 11 OST- Gothic. The final goomba leader was: Sonic 3 final boss. And the final boss: Blazeblue something final.

You could add jump-through platforms on some stages, like the stage after the sibling battle. Also, I got stuck there and couldn't come out. The normal levels are rather easy, the boss battles stand in contrast.

Nah, I must say, this isn't very good. There are many annoying bugs. I'll list a few for you.

-the Q button doesn't work when there's a collission at your topleft
-When you get hit after picking the starcoin you can't go to the next level. This is an easy fix if you replace Ludwig's alarm to the starcoin's
-You bounce back when you meet a solid on the left or right
-You said in the F1: "This glitch is Game Maker's fault, not mine :/" It is yours

Sometimes with the Q button, but MUST arrow back and forth while using it. But, well in the revision I think I managed to fix a lot of things.

Played this game for the first time in years. HOLY BALLS WAS IT HARD. I died to Sar alone like 15 times. And some glitches whew DANG! Wtf.
Nevertheless, the music was excellent.
