Super Mario Classic Two (Demo)
preview
By: Zero Kirby [W]
Demo of the first world. However, this game has been scrapped in favor of something a bit better.

Yep, Super Mario Classic Two: Mushroom Archipelago. While the name doesn't exactly roll off the tongue, it fits the description. What you do is sail around the islands in your boat and do a little platforming action.

There are several improvements from Super Mario Classic: Return, but what are you doing reading this? Start it up!

Press F1 in game for instructions and a short description of the story.
Completion: Scrapped Genre: Platform

I made not a single thing in this game.

Well... okay, I lied. I created the HUD display. And, a few edits of other things.

Most graphics credits go to MR21 (Mario), Grant (Goombas), Black Squirrel(tiles, powerups, blocks), and... somebody else (the SPP sprites and castle background, along with the MPA bits). I can't remember who at the time.

Anyway, to everyone else, thanks for the comments. I'm going to make this better than Return, so keep your eyes peeled.

Also, to njm2, the blue coins don't do anything... yet. But in the final game, you can expect them to play a very fun, distracting role.

Nice so far. Except when I touched the blue thing that plays the Metroid theme, I jumped off and landed on the stairs and now I'm kinda in them and can't move. :P

I SHOULDN'T release an engine for this for the very same reason because then it gets overused.

Besides, isn't it kind of nice to see a bunch of games with different engines? I certainly do.

Doodleboy: I've... never had that happen.

jak: You might want to, just make sure you have your speakers on "Very Low" because Return is obnoxiously loud.

I've never been to screwattack.com.

So stop saying it's from Screw Attack. It isn't.

Well, he's entitled to his opinion. Unfortunately, many of his points are true. I'll just have to fix them, and, in the next demo, shove it in his face and hope that he likes it. Fortunately, I'm pretty sure he hopes that I do.

If you believe your opinion so strongly, you go ahead and submit a review. I wouldn't say no to a favorable review, unless of course it was mindless babbling.

No, I should have written a review. You are right. It's his own opinion
