Fog of War Example 2	By: Aero88
Awhile back I uploaded a Fog of War example file that used grids. Since then I coded this method of creating a similar effect, but is more efficient and effective. This project file shows how to create a Fog of War effect using Game Maker 8.1 similar to that which would be seen in a real time strategy game. Unlike the first FOW example I uploaded, this example uses both a grid and surfaces to create the desired effect. The FOW is drawn only withine the view and is more efficient than my last example, but is also a little more complicated and... better. Controls: Movement - Arrow Keys Reset Game - R Toggle Fog and Darkness on an off - F Toggle only fog on and off - G

I can't play it because I have 8.0 and I'm not upgrading. Anyways I think it would of been good nonethless.

Hm... I also have GM 8.0. If enough people want an 8.0 version as well I could put it together. Any comments from those who have tried this out?

I said I "also" have gm 8 meaning I have 8.1 and 8. I was given 8.1 as a free upgrade because I purchased 8 not long before 8.1 came out.

So... I am assuming by the lack of negative comments that this has been working well for the 70 + people who have downloaded so far, but some feedback on the example would be helpful wither good or bad. Not just for me, but also to help others who are looking at this topic. Thanks.
