Game Maker 8 Path Platform Tutorial By: Unsaladable
We've all seen and considered moving
platforms in 2D platformers.
How about a moving platform that follows a path?

Works for Game Maker 8.1 and i imagine it would work for Game Maker 8 as well.

Edit: I guess i ended up mixing up
place_meeting and position_meeting
while naming a script, no big deal
though.

Please report any bugs you encounter.
Also be sure to read the game information.
Target Applications: GM8

It says March 31st. Not April 1st.

OK, I don't have 8.1, so time to find the GM converter!

It's called Lateral GM. It requires Java. Do you have Java?

GM does not require Java. I don't know what the heck you are talking about.

OK, this is pretty good, but you are using scripts that you could just use easy drag and drop or a piece of code.

No. Drag and drop makes it harder to use.

I MEANT LATERAL GM, NOT REGULAR GM. "Lateral GM" is a Java app that lets you convert Game Maker games and examples into copies that work on the version they're not intentionally for.

? I said some of the things like PLACE FREE could use drag and drop. Plus, it takes longer to learn GML, when D&D is a lot simpler. But, GML is a lot flexible, but you could use D&D for the simple things and GML for the more dificult things, and I said D&D was an option, you don't have to use it.
Also, how come when someone makes an engine with drag and drop, the first thing you do is say,"Oh it's made with drag and drop. Better skip this one."

There's a program on the Game Maker Community called the GM Converter, which converts 8.1 GMKs
to 8.0 GMKs.
I don't mean whatever you are talking about.
