General Commentary and Game Overview
Mario + Wario is a fun minigame, also doubles as a neat time waster. In game you play as Mario and Wario and each character have distinct abilities. Mario is a light, agile, movement character. Whereas, Wario is a slow, immobile tank, and dashes through enemies with ease. The game has some bugs that include clipping, ability switching, and the fact that you can't complete the level as Wario. The game is fun as it is, but with those minor flaws fixed, it'll be that much better.

Pros +Wario's dash effect
+Simple
+Challenging at parts
+Good puzzles

Cons -Character switch keys are way too far apart
-Wario's jumping is way too minuscule
-Minor bugs
-Some unfair challenges

Impressions
Gameplay
8 / 10
As mentioned beforehand, you play as Mario and Wario. Mario is a light agile jumper, Wario is a grounded tank. The gamplay contains simple platforming, and some simple puzzles used in good ways. Run, jump and bash through enemies while also thinking before making those cross platform leaps! Some blocks are only solid to Mario, or Wario. So jumping on what could have been solid ground results in death rather than victory! Wario has a nicely done dash feature where he pummels through enemies. The effect while doing so is superb! Now, don't get me wrong, there are some bugs. Dashing and then switching to Mario will give you the effects of Wario, almost no jumping and slow movement. By almost no jumping I mean next to no jumping. You move around 10 pixels off the ground. You can't make it over a 16x16 block. That's pretty annoying. Another thing that I found sort of annoying was the fact that you stomp enemies as Wario. Some parts will have you in air needing to be boosted by a Koopa, but I always transform too early and end up dying when the enemy should have been killed. Despite those bugs the gameplay is pretty solid.

Graphics
8 / 10
The graphics are pretty simple, pretty bland. Same background with pretty much the same 3 colors of floor. A lot of the graphics are from different games but surprisingly to me they don't clash. They look pretty good together. Nothing really is custom other than the title objects. This is a minigame, made in one weekend, so I didn't expect any custom sprites or anything.

Sound
7 / 10
All of the sound design is simple as well. One background music loops over the level and there are minimal amounts of effects, used only when necessary. But that simplicity is good, it doesn't sound underdone nor overdone.

Replay
6 / 10
Not much to replay for, once you beat the main level there is nothing to go back and do. So, don't know why someone would want to go and redo it for.

Final Words
7 / 10
Mario + Wario is a nicely done minigame for a one weekend time limit. It has it's flaws and simplicity, but sometimes that simplicity is nice.
